After sorting your information, label it by recording the main themes. This will help you to see where common ideas occur.

Synthesising involves bringing together and comparing/contrasting two or more sources of information. So, keep note of where different information relates to the same theme and label it to assist with structuring your assignment. Several sources labelled with the same theme may be integrated into one paragraph.
